Collapsible Dog Bowl (Upcycled)Updated 7 months ago

Crafted from mattress fabric scraps, our Collapsible Dog Bowl is perfect for keeping your favorite adventure buddy fed and watered at home, at camp, and on the trail. Below, you’ll find everything you need to know to keep this upcycled gear up and running for many adventures to come.

How To Set Up Your Collapsible Dog Bowl

We designed the Collapsible Dog Bowl to be extremely hard to break and easy to use. Just pop open the velcro strap, unfurl the bowl, and voila–you’re good to go.

How To Carry Your Collapsible Dog Bowl

We added two nifty features to increase the versatility of the Collapsible Dog Bowl:

  • The Strap: Not only does the integrated velcro strap keep the bowl compact and easy to stash in your pack, pocket, or trunk, but it also can help you strap the bowl to, well, anything. Velcro the bowl to your bike frame or fork, your Cargo Hammock, a hands-free dog leash, you name it.
  • The Loop: Designed for use with a carabiner, the integrated loop exponentially boosts potential carry configurations. You can also tie it to a rope, hook it on tree branches, so on and so forth.

Bonus Carry Option: Open the Collapsible Dog Bowl, flip it upside down, and you suddenly have an eco-friendly and fashionable hat. Look Ma! No hands!

How To Store Your Collapsible Dog Bowl

Storing your Collapsible Dog Bowl is easy. You can wrap it up with the Velcro strap, jam it into your backpack, chuck it on your dashboard–it’s resilient. The key is to store it, at least for the long term, when it’s clean and dry.

How To Clean Your Collapsible Dog Bowl

The outer bowl is crafted from durable, 300-denier Oxford nylon, and the inner bowl has a waterproof liner, making the Collapsible Dog Bowl resilient to wear, tear, and doggy hair. However, both pets and the great outdoors aren’t particularly easy on gear, so some grime is to be expected.

Usually, we’ll just rinse the bowl inside and out with fresh water–either using a hose at home, a spigot at camp, or taking advantage of a river, stream, lake, etc., in more remote backcountry zones. If you’re just using the bowl as a water bowl, or dealing with dirt on the exterior of the bowl, this is generally sufficient.

If you’re using the bowl for puppy chow, your pup is particularly slobbery, or it’s just overdue for a deeper clean, scrub the inner liner with soapy water until it’s as good as new.
